Lyle Rowell “DOGHEAD”
Born Vancouver, Canada

HOME &
FURNITURE

Over the years Lyle has created some incredible pieces for shops, venues and private clients and also his own home.

Working with metal, wood and at times plastic he has created futuristic chairs, tables desks and wardrobes.

But he is as at ease with clean and classic design.
Feel free to contact him with your needs and ideas, from lamps to beds to entire interiors.

MACHINE &
BEASTS

The most exciting aspects of Lyle’s works are his mechanical beasts.

Large scale walking creatures, made from old car and motorcycle parts, which he rides through the audience at festivals and public events.

He has had worldwide requests for these fire breathing beasts, created with ingenuity and passion, and lots of blood, sweat and gears.

SCULPTURE

Starting out with small sculptures and useful creations such as candle holders and lamps made from found objects that could be sold at markets, he quickly moved to larger and more interestingly detailed pieces for underground parties which he became involved in after moving to London.

Living in squatted warehouses with other artists and musicians, he found space and inspiration to dedicate more time to the creation of larger sculptures and eventually mechanical sculptures.

Some of these sculptures are on permanent display at Mutonia.

AT PRESENT

Lyle continues to create sculpture, furniture and mechanical beasts such as “Lrry-1” a toro/ reptile hybrid and “D1zzy” his 1400 kg rhino which are available for hire for film or video collaborations, festivals and other events.
